CKI Conference - December 2, 2020
This year‘s Siemens CKI Conference at RWTH Aachen University will take place on December 2, 2020.
For this gathering of RWTH researchers and Siemens managers, we will focus on “Technology Architecture for Applied AI – Smart Cities and Digital Enterprises”, connecting artificial intelligence with our daily life as well as our manufacturing processes.
Due to the inevitable situation with the Coronavirus, we plan a hybrid (phygital) conference. This means that we will – hopefully – welcome a limited number of participants in Aachen and at the same time provide a virtual conference experience where guests can take part in the sessions and networking activities from their Home-Office.
- 10:00 – 13:00 Expert Round Tables and Lab Tour
- 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
- 14:00 – 18:00 Plenum Presentations and Panel Discussions with Siemens Deputy CEO Dr. Roland Busch and RWTH Rector Prof. Ulrich Rüdiger.
- 18:00 – 20:00 Networking - Open end
Confirmed speakers include Prof. Bastian Leibe (Computer Vision, RWTH Aachen) and Dr. Ulli Waltinger (Siemens AI Lab) as well as experts from the two focus areas.
Prior to the final conference, we are planning virtual Pre-Sessions around the topics "Smart Infrastructures" and "Digital Entreprises" in October or November (tba.).
In these virtual Pre-Sessions bilateral and publicly funded projects between the RWTH and Siemens will be presented by the project leads to give you exiting insights, how RWTH and Siemens shaping together the future in these topic areas. Furthermore, you will have the chance go into a virtual exchange with the R&D experts of both parties.
More details and dates regarding the Pre-Sessions will be announced soon.
We kindly invite you to already pre-register to the Conference and/or the Pre-Sessions to stay posted about update and mark your calender.
